Mark Dean Bumgardner, 66, of Cheyenne, died, March 15, 2019 at home.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, March 29, at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Cheyenne. He was born January 18, 1953 in Cheyenne and was a lifetime resident. After graduating from Cheyenne East High School in 1971, he began working for the Union Pacific Railroad. He retired as a long-time, dedicated Engineer in 2017 after 46 years of service.
Mark was quick to offer a helping hand. His sense of humor brought a smile to many. When he walked through the door of the local restaurants, he was greeted with a welcoming, “Hello, Mark”.
Mark’s hobbies included classic cars, hunting and fishing. He proudly wore his snake skin cowboy boots. The family homestead in the Nebraska Sand hills held a very special place in his heart.
He was a kind, caring soul, who will be greatly missed.
