Marjorie Ann Trefren

Marjorie Ann Trefren, 89, of Cheyenne died May 16th at Cheyenne Health Care in Cheyenne.
She was born July 28, 1926 in Sioux City, Iowa.
She came to Cheyenne in 1944 and graduated from St. Mary’s High School June 1945. She met Ted Trefren in 1948. Ted and Marjorie Ann McFadden were married at St. Mary’s Cathedral on April 17, 1948 by Msgr. James Hartman and then moved to Nebraska. After farming for nine years near Arcadia, they moved to Cheyenne in 1957.
Marjorie was treasurer for six years for the Cheyenne Artist Guild. She worked as an accountant at Holy Trinity for Father O’Connor and Father Thomas Fahey for fourteen years.
Ted and Marjorie established Our Lady of Peace Shrine in Pine Bluffs. They were very devoted to the Blessed Mother.
She enjoyed painting and displaying her work at the Artist Guild, needle point tapestry and quilting.
She is survived by seven children, John (Theresa) Trefren, Deborah (Michael) Miller; Philip (Marium) Trefren, Julie (Michael) Swallow, Matthew Trefren David (Dale) Trefren, Paul (Veronica) Trefren; twelve grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded by her dearly beloved husband, Ted Trefren; infant daughter, Ann Trefren; parents, John & Frances McFadden and a brother, John Paul McFadden.
Vigil for the Deceased will be 6:00 p.m., Monday at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
Funeral Liturgy will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Father Tom Cronkleton as celebrant.
Interment to follow at Olivet Cemetery.
