Marilyn Phyllis Woodard, 80, of Cheyenne died Tuesday, January 20th at the Davis Hospice Center.
She was born August 6, 1934 in North Platte, Nebraska and had lived here for the past 40 years with prior residence in Nebraska and Tennessee.
She was an accountant for Laramie County Community College and ANB, a secretary and accountant for the Historic Preservation Director at Middle Tennessee State University.
Marilyn was a member of First Baptist Church, Laramie County Accountants Society and, in her younger years, Job’s Daughters. She enjoyed reading westerns, romance, and mystery novels as well as gardening and was fond of pansies.
She is survived by her children, Jim (Linda) Woodard; Monty (Linda) Woodard; John Steven (Cherie) Woodard and Christel “Chris” (Gail) Cassel; sister, Harriet Jordan; niece, Carrie Berry; eight grandchildren, Bradley Woodard, Matthew Woodard, Heather Bromagen, Cody Woodard, Tyler Woodard, Ashley Woodard, Drew Woodard, and Chelsea Woodard and two great-grandchildren, Austin Cassel and Gracelynn Bromagen.
She was preceded in death by her husband, JC “Jimmy” Woodard and parents, Harry Jones and Rubye McMichael.
Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens. Per Marilyn’s wishes, there will not be a service.
