Marilyn Carol (VanZee) Stroh passed away peacefully September 30, 2022, after a courageous battle with Dementia/Alzheimer disease at the age of 90.
Carol was born January 4, 1932, in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Marion and Wilma VanZee and was raised at Horsecreek, Wyoming northwest of Cheyenne. She moved into Cheyenne as a sophomore in high school where she lived with a local family while completing her high school studies. In May of 1950 Carol married Robert (Bob) Stroh and was married for 41 years until his death in 1991. They had two sons, Gale of Thornton CO and Gene of Fort Collins CO. Her long career was in the banking/loan industry. She worked for financial institutions that included different banks and loan corporations. Finally retiring from Wyoming Student Loan Corporation where she was one of the founding officers. After retirement she worked for the Frontier Days ticket office to keep busy.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, Marion and Wilma; husband, Bob; three brothers, Everett, Bill, and Bud; two sisters, Jesse and Isabel; and grandson Carl.
She is survived by her two sons, Gale and Gene; two grandsons, Mark and Nicholas; and one great granddaughter Sidney.
Graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, at the Rugged Cross in Cheyenne Memorial Gardens. A Reception to follow at The Gathering Place 1900 E 21st Street.
