Marie “Mariette” Oliger, 96, of Cheyenne died July 24 at Life Care Center of Cheyenne.
Marie was born September 21, 1920 in Metz, France. She married Antoine “Tony” Oliger on July 30, 1938. Marie came to the United States in 1949 with her husband & sons and settled in Lockport, New York where they obtained citizenship. She moved to Cheyenne in 1963 with her family.
She was a homemaker and loved needlepoint, crocheting and spending time with family.
Marie is survived by her daughter-in-law Kathryn, grandson Marcel, granddaughter Kelly (Lucas) West, great-grandchildren Adena (Adam) Leibouvitz, Karissa (Alex) Toalson, Alanna and James West, great-great-grandchildren Neveah, Mackenzie and Ryland Leibouvitz, all in Cheyenne.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband Tony, children Arlette, Alain, Roland, Andre, and her parents Marie and August Munnich.
Funeral Liturgy will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Cathedral.
Interment will follow the funeral liturgy at Olivet Cemetery in Cheyenne.
Pallbearers will be Lucas West, Adam Leibouvitz, Alex Toalson, and Kevin West.
In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may contribute to Davis Hospice Center, Cheyenne.
