Marie Kubal left this world on May 22, 2017 to join her husband, Herb Kubal.
She was born on the family farm near Imperial, Nebraska on June 19, 1933 and grew up with her 7 brothers and sisters working the fields, herding cattle on horseback, and stacking hay dodging snakes her brothers would toss up with the hay. She played in the marching band in High School, but sold her trumpet in order to help pay to attend business college in Denver. She met her lifelong love Herb, whom she married September 10, 1953. In 1965, they moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming. Marie worked at Carey Jr. High as a cook and then as an educational assistant at Davis Elementary. She was well known at The Borderline where she sold lottery tickets and did bookkeeping for Peppermill Liquors.
She is survived by her brothers, Charles and George Browning; a sister, Elsie Coen; her children, Cindy Morgan (Gordon), Deb O'Grady (John), Norm Kubal (Gretchen), and Brian Kubal; 9 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren, along with countless family and friends.
