Marguerite Marie Barry, 91, of Cheyenne died peacefully September 26, at Life Care of Cheyenne, WY. A life commemoration service will be held at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel on Saturday October 3, 2015 at 2pm. Online family tributes can be sent to the family at www.wrcfuneral.com . She was born February 20, 1924 on her parents’ ranch on Big Sandy Creek in Prowers County, CO. She was the seventh child and fifth daughter of Bernard and Bertha Tefertiller. She married the love of her life, James Ted Barry on February 22, 1945 and they continued to ranch in Colorado and Oklahoma. They moved to Laramie, WY in 1955 and later to Burns, finally landing in Cheyenne in 2009. Marie loved the outdoors and she and Ted raised foundation bred Quarter Horses throughout their lives. Besides loving her family, she loved horses, fishing, gardening, baking, and sewing. She adored new babies, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Cheyenne Baptist Temple. In every community that Marie lived she was a good neighbor and someone you could count on in a time of need. She is dearly loved and will be missed by many but, “and ye now therefore have sorrow; but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice…” John 16:22.
Marie is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 70 years, Ted; children Scott (Jan) Barry, Linda (John) Goodman, J.B. (Greg Salberg) Barry, and Joy (Martin) Nee; grandchildren, Dusty, Mark, Cody, Erin, Teddi Marie, Abby, Catlain, Maggi, Cassidy, Josh, Matt and Bryan; 20 great-grandchildren, her sister Theo Kelley and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and three sisters
