Marian “Pat” June French passed away peacefully on June 14, 2018. She happily and graciously celebrated her 100th birthday with mighty conviction among family and friends on June 10th, at Davis Hospice Center, in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Pat was born June 11, 1918, in Fresno, California to the parents of William and Lucy Thomas. She was married to William G. French on November 11, 1938, and resided in Fresno until November, 1995. She moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming after her husband’s passing, to live with her daughter, Linda Chasson’s family. She joined the Foster Grandparent Program of Cheyenne, where she happily worked with staff and enriched the lives of so many first graders at Corlett and Freedom Elementary Schools, for 14 years. Marian was also a member of the First Christian Church of Cheyenne.
She was preceded by: husband Bill French, two brothers, Harold Thomas, (June), Howard Thomas, (Mary), two sisters, Leona Roberson, (Norris), Betty McKenry, (Harvey) and a niece, Joan Klepper, (Bill).
She is survived by two daughters, Patty Dale (Robert), Linda Chasson, two granddaughters, Jennifer Sigal, (Noam), Elizabeth Chasson, a great-granddaughter, Isabel Sigal, sister, Lucille Wilfong, five nephews, Hal Thomas, (Jan), Wayne Thomas, (Donna), Herb Thomas, (Doloris), Glenn Thomas, (Cathy), Jim Roberson, and three nieces, Marilyn Dutcher, Sandy Mahre, (Randy), Janice Wells, (Stan).
A Celebration of Life will be held at First Christian Church, on
Monday, June 25, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.
