Maria De Los Angeles “Kika” Gonzalez, of Cheyenne, WY passed away quietly in her home surrounded by her loving family on January 13, 2024. She was born October 2, 1954 in San Juan De Los Lagos, Jalisco to Jesus and Maria De Jesus Becerra.
Kika worked as a housekeeper for over 20 years, her last position being at CRMC. Kika never met a stranger she didn’t like. She always left a lasting impression on anyone that crossed her path. She was an excellent cook that loved sharing those meals surrounded by family and friends. Throughout her life, she took on many titles wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend, storyteller and teacher. Kika will always be remembered by her laughter, sense of style, and compassion.
She was survived by her husband Santiago Gonzalez; her 3 kids. Sergio (Maria), Goretti (Ricardo) and Santiago Jr. (Jade); Grandkids Yessenia, Arianna, Kassandra, Israel, Osvaldo, Montserrat, Aziel, Ezequiel, Araceli and an expected baby girl; Great grandkids Xiemena, Xitlali and Octavious. She was preceded in death by her parents Jesus and Maria De Jesus Becerra, and Sister Estella Lopez.
Viewings will be held at Wiederspahn Chapel on Wednesday, January 17th, from 9-4pm, and Thursday, January 18, 11-4pm. Rosary will be held on January 18, 6pm and Funeral Liturgy will be held on January 19, at 10:30 am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
