Margaret "Meg" Montgomery

Margaret Montgomery, 77, passes away peacefully on December 8, 2024, in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Margaret was born July 2, 1947, in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Frank and Eithol Dwinell. Margaret spent her childhood on the family ranch in Carpenter, Wyoming where she attended school, graduating from her small Carpenter class in in 1965. She attended the University of Wyoming where she met and married her husband, H. Earl Montgomery of Cheyenne. She and Earl were married September 14, 1968, in Cheyenne. They remained in Cheyenne all their lives where they raised their two boys. Margaret worked as a secretary for Equitable Life Insurance in her early career. Later she would go on to work as a bookkeeper for Cheyenne Little Theater and for Moore Insulation Company.

Margaret is survived by her husband of 56 years, Earl; sister, Fanny Malm of Albin; two sons, Brett (Sharon) of Laramie and Dirk (Jill) of Casper; 5 grandchildren she loved dearly, Tripp, Emma, Baylor, and twins Ellie and Macey.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, one brother and sister.

Margaret was a devoted wife and mother to her family and will dearly be missed. From her childhood, she always had a great love for animals and mostly dogs and cats. Those wishing to make a donation should do so to their local animal shelter in her memory. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 4, 2024, in Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel. A reception will follow the service at The Gathering Place.
