Lyle Kelsey, 72, of Cheyenne, went home to be with the Lord, May 20, 2015 in Cheyenne.
He was born December 27, 1942 in Seattle, Washington to Edward Kelsey and Edna Foster.
He spent seven and a half years in the Navy during the Vietnam conflict. He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for forty years ten months and retired as an engineer in 2008. His sense of humor helped him through many situations in his life. “It’s a Kelsey thing you wouldn’t understand.”
Lyle enjoyed reading the Bible, driving semi trucks cross country, model railroading and his girls.
He is survived by his daughters, Edna Ramsey of Cheyenne, and Sierra Kelsey of Grants Pass, Oregon. Granddaughter, Morning Rigsby of Grants Pass, Oregon, and three great grandchildren. His brother, Eddy Kelsey of Kanab, Utah.
He was preceded in death by his parents, paternal grandmother, a sister and a daughter, Raedeane Rigsby.
Services will be held at Calvary Chapel on June 28, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Aaron Kor officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Davis Hospice Center or the Cheyenne Animal Shelter.
