Lyden L. Erickson, 106, of Cheyenne, died peacefully on Sunday, January 18, 2015 at the Cheyenne Healthcare Center.
He was born on February 14, 1908 in Skanee, Michigan and had lived here for the last six years.
Mr. Erickson retired in 1972 as the head engineer for the Ninth Regional Naval Station, Great Lakes, Illinois.
He was a member of Elks Lodge 702 in Waukegan, Illinois and was a jack of all trades who enjoyed bowling, golf, and traveling.
Mr. Erickson is survived by a son, Don Erickson (Jacqui); five grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Axel and Louise Erickson; five brothers, Rexford, Ennis, Irving, Carl, and Leon Erickson; one sister, Bernice; and his first wife Irene Eve Reich, and second wife Virginia S. Grover.
Private family services will be held at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
His cremains will be placed in Ascension Cemetery in Mundelein, Illinois.
He will be remembered in many ways, and not the least his friendly, infectious smile.
