Lupe Edward Ramirez, 76, of Cheyenne, passed away on December 5, 2020. In Aurora Colorado at the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center after battling Covid-19. He was born on May 12, 1944, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, to Lupe Ramirez and Juliana (Rios) Taylor.

Lupe was raised in Cheyenne along with his brother, Camilo and sister, Rebecca.

He served in the Navy USS WASP (CVS-18) Boston, Massachusetts, from 1963-1967, before moving to California where he lived in Milpitas for nearly 50 years. During those years he owned and ran a glass shop.

In 1966 Lupe met and then later married his beloved wife, Marji. During their marriage they had four children.

Lupe was an avid collector of antiques and referred to himself as their caretaker. He loved playing pool and showing off his “bank shots”. Lupe was very handy and could fix anything, he would say, “if a man can figure out how to build it, I can figure out how to fix it”

He was a very selfless man and a people person who wouldn’t hesitate to stop what he was doing to help a friend, neighbor or complete stranger.
He loved his Cats, and gave a home to 5 stray kitties who needed him and he would leave his garage door cracked for any other animals who needed shelter during the snow.
Lupe enjoyed his last years back in his childhood home in Cheyenne, Wyoming where he was the care taker for his 103-year-old mother, Juliana Taylor.

Lupe is survived by his mother, Juliana; loving wife, Marji Ramirez, sons, Andre, and Gabriel Ramirez; daughters Collette (Ramirez) Lopez and Natalie (Ramirez) Camilleri; brother, Camilo Ramirez; sister, Rebecca; grandchildren, Martine, Ellis, Isabella, Sophia, Aiden, Atlas and Elio and great-grandchild, Mateo
