Long time Cheyenne resident Lucille (Lacy) A. Kretz died on 12/20/2021 at home. Lacy was born on 5/26/1933 in Wauseon, OH to Perry and Louisa Johnson. On 12/30/1950, she married John J. Kretz and they were blessed with three children.
They moved to Cheyenne in 1957, remaining until John retired from the USAF in 1969. They moved to Colorado for several years, but returned to Cheyenne to manage the U-Pump-It gas station on Logan Ave. for 18 years, finally retiring for good in 2000.
She was an avid bowler, Broncos and Bills fan, and loved to fish and go camping. They moved to the Phoenix, AZ area in 2011, but Lacy returned to Cheyenne in 2018 following the deaths of her husband in 2011 and son John David in 2017.
Lacy is survived by her pup Dixie, daughter Dianne (Dan) Siglin of Cheyenne, son John Kevin (Susan) of Evans CO, daughter-in-law Dina Kretz of Puyallup WA, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and youngest son, Lacy was preceded in death by her parents, brother Calvin Johnson, sister Stella Ram, and grandson Khristopher Kretz.
