Lourdes I. Kriebel, 74, of Cheyenne, passed at Davis Hospice Center peacefully with her husband and daughter by her side. She was born August 2, 1949, to Fidel Edale and Placida Reyes, in Pangasinan, Philippines.
Lourdes met her future husband, Edward Kriebel, in the Philippines, while he was a member of the United States Air Force. Following a year and half courtship they married on October 21, 1973, at Clark Airbase, Philippines. Together they had three children, Michael, Alan, and Sherri.
Lourdes, Edward, and Michael came to the United States in 1975, and they added Alan and Sherri soon after arriving. The family moved to several places in Ed’s career, to Missouri, Washington DC, back to the Philippines then finally to Cheyenne. When in all those moves, Lourdes made each place feel like home.
She is survived by her husband, Edward; son, Alan; daughter, Sherri (Ramiro Castillo, Jr.), grandchildren, Steven, Selena, Raquell, Caleb, Ramiro III, Reinna, Shayne; great grandchild. Lainey; two sisters, numerous nieces and nephews both in the Philippines and the United States.
Lourdes was preceded in death by her father, Fidel; mother, Placida; son, Michael; brother, Berto Edale.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chape, with a reception to follow at Ascension Lutheran Church.
