Louis “Jimmy” Visca, 93, of Cheyenne passed away December 18 at Davis Hospice Center.
He was born November 11, 1922 in San Jose, California to James and Ruth (Simmonds) Visca.
He married Mary Campagnaro on December 19, 1945. To their union two daughters and a son were born.
Jimmy was very active in the Kiwanis Club of Cheyenne and mixed the batter at the Cheyenne Frontier Days pancake Breakfast for over 50 years.
He was a huge supporter of St. Mary’s athletics and was “the voice of the Gaels” for several years. Many of us remember being told to “keep your street shoes off the gym floor.”
Jimmy is survived by his two daughters, Jan Wadleigh of Omaha, Nebraska and Jeanne Wickard of Douglas; sister, Marge Arzino of San Jose, CA; eight grandchildren; two step-granddaughters, and fourteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years; parents; son, Paul; son-in-law, Vern and granddaughter, Christina Jo Butler.
Life Commemoration Services will be Saturday, January 23, 2016, 2:00 p.m., at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
