Louella “LouRee” Theesen, 92, of Cheyenne died October 22 at home surrounded by her family. LouRee was happy to have final visits with her family and friends.
She was born November 17, 1929, in rural Nebraska. From her childhood driving a tractor on the family farm to her final career as a loan officer, LouRee was a dedicated and hardworking person who still managed to put her family first.
When she wasn’t working, LouRee never missed an opportunity to have fun. Whether it was bridge with friends, square dancing with her husband Marvin, camping with her family, travelling, or caring for her grandchildren, LouRee enjoyed every minute of her life. She loved to share stories of “big win at bridge” where she met many lifelong friends.
After retiring, LouRee and Marvin spent many years travelling in both the US and Canada in their RV. They eventually chose an RV park in Brenda, AZ to call their winter home, where they made new friends.
LouRee loved her grandchildren and took great pleasure in helping with their upbringing. She always had hugs and love at the ready.
She is survived by two children, Paul Theesen and Michelle Theesen (Bob Larson); and two grandchildren, Athena and Keeper Theesen.
She was preceded in death by son Mark Theesen and husband Marvin Theesen.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
