Lorraine A. Lucero, “Sweet Lorraine”, 61 of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed from this life into eternal life surrounded by her loving family on September 5, 2022.
Lorraine was born on July 11th, 1961, in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Cristobal “Crist” and Josephine “Fina” Lucero.
Lorraine grew up in Cheyenne. She attended and was a cheerleader at Central High School, where she graduated in 1979.
She was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She was affectionately named “Mocka,” by her grandson Vicente Jr., whom she lovingly called “Goo Goo Doll.” They truly had a unique bond.
She took great pride in waking up and going to work every morning. She never failed to provide for her family. Lorraine enjoyed shopping, especially when it came to her girls and her grandson.
A great soul serves everyone all the time. A great soul never dies. It brings us together again and again. She will never truly be gone, but she will forever live in the hearts and memory of those who loved her, and that she loved back.
Lorraine is survived by her loving daughters, Rhiannon (Vicente) Gutierrez and Kristin Gaines; grandson, Vicente Gutierrez Jr.; father, Cristobal “Crist” Lucero; siblings, Kathy (Robert) Manzanares, Chris (Angel) Lucero, Eliza (Dave) Bell, Vince (Shelley) Lucero, Andrew Lucero, Reynaldo Lucero; 10 nieces and nephews, 12 great nieces and nephews and 1 great-great niece, and countless other family and friends who loved and adored her.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her mother, Josephine “Fina” Lucero; and nephew, Vincent Lucero Jr.
A Funeral Liturgy will be Friday, September 16, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church with an interment to follow at Olivet Cemetery.
