Loni G. Hehr, 81, of Cheyenne, Wyoming passed away on March 21, 2023. Born on September 18, 1941, in Cheyenne, Loni was the first of three children born to Emil G. Hehr and Beuna E. Nolan Hehr Metzler.
After serving in the Army Reserves, Loni was an auto mechanic for Cheyenne Dodge and Caterpillar. He went on to be a salesman for Jolley Rogers RV Sales and retired as a custodian for the State of Wyoming.
He married Joyce Martens on October 7, 1977. Over the years, Loni and Joyce’s hobbies included hunting, fishing, watching TV, playing cards and dominoes.
Loni is survived by son Shawn Hehr (Kathy) of Cheyenne, step-children Sheryl Kovalcik (Johnny) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Kennie Martens of Cheyenne, Connie Powell (Scott) of Cheyenne, sister Kathy Hehr Alden (John) of Cheyenne, sister-in-law Susan Hehr of Green River, Wyoming, sister-in-law Doris King of Cheyenne, step-sister-in-law Mary Etta Metzler of Torrance, California, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Loni was preceded in death by his parents, wife Joyce Hehr, brother Kerry Hehr, step-father Edward Metzler, step-brothers Jerry Metzler, Jack Metzler, Don Metzler and daughter in law Debbie Martens.
Cremation has taken place at Wiederspahn-Radomsky. A brief gathering will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at 1:00p.m. in the Rugged Cross Chapel at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens, 4701 Christensen Road.
