Lois M. Roberts, 90, of Cheyenne passed away June 10. She was born March 12, 1929, in Longmont, CO to Frank and Maree Ross. She married John T. Roberts III on November 11, 1950, in Longmont, CO.
As a wife, mother, and grandmother, her love was authentic. She was especially devout, honest, and compassionate. She pursued and cherished the fruits of fellowship cultivated in the adoration of her family.
Spending a majority of her life in Cheyenne, she became deeply involved with her church and other activities over the years, including: Girl Scouts, square dancing, bridge, and volunteering at Home Away From Home. As a lover of all sports, she was particularly fond of the Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies. She also truly treasured her travels, exploring all of Wyoming and the world beyond.
She is survived by her husband, John; sister, Jean Evans of Longmont, CO; daughters, Cindy (Carl) Joerschke of Greeley, CO., Joyce (David) Morris of Jonesville, LA, Linda (Larry) Swing of Cheyenne; and son Dale (Kristin) Roberts of Cheyenne; 9 grandchildren: Bryan (Nichole) Woodcock, James (Celly) Morris, Lisa Woodcock, Anna Roberts, Abigail (Wes) Lockard, Scott (Shannon) Woodcock, Breayna (Mike) Whisenhunt, Andrew (Rachel) Woodcock, Ashley (Matt) Joy, and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Lorene Cleveland, and her brothers Lee and Leon Ross.
Funeral Liturgy will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Father Andrew Duncan as the celebrant.
