Lois E. Hungate, 90, of Cheyenne, died on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at the Granite Rehabilitation Center in Cheyenne.
Mrs. Hungate was born on July 7, 1925 in Wichita, Kansas and had lived here since 1936.
She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church and servedas the organist from July 7, 1945 until July 25, 1993. It is estimated that she played over 18, 000 hymns and over 9 million notes. Lois was also a member of the Cheyenne Little Theatre, the Executive Club, and Staff and Clef.
Lois is survived by a son, Bill Hungate of Aurora, Colorado; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Win Hungate; a brother, Eugene Cochran; and her parents, William and Edith Cochran.
Services will be Thursday, 1:30 p.m., at First Baptist Church with Pastor Jason King officiating.
Intement will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
