Celebrating the Life of Lisa M. Corbet
July 6, 1958 - May 27, 2024
Beloved wife, daughter, sister & mother of many
Lisa was born in Neptune, New Jersey to Joseph and Saundra Cook Borghi. Lisa was married to Randy Corbet for over 37 years and together they had a son Dustin (Erica), a daughter Rachel and many fur babies. This includes multiple herds of cattle. Lisa grew up with siblings Laura (Tom), John and Patricia (Tom).
Lisa was easily loved by many as she had a heart of gold. She was always very warm and inviting to anyone she met. She would always think of others before herself. Lisa loved reading murder mystery novels and watching scary movies. She loved bougie handbags, but in every other way was very grounded and down to earth. Any day you could find her snuggling her beagle, Luna, and catching up over the phone with loved ones. She loved to laugh which Randy enjoyed assisting her with. If you had plans to meet up with Lisa, she would never arrive late; she was very conscientious of others' time.
Lisa’s most recent favorite pastime was spending time camping in South Dakota with her husband, Randy, and her sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Tom. They especially enjoyed joy riding side-by-sides by day and grilling pizza and enjoying each other’s company by evening.
Lisa worked at the post office for approximately 30 years. If you lived in Cheyenne for any length of time, prior to 2015, you’ve probably had her aid and assist you with your packages and envelopes and supplied all your stamping needs.
With her at the time of her passing were her son, daughter-in-law and husband. She fought a long battle of sickness and although she succumbed to the final effects of cancer, she still remains victorious as she received her full healing and has stepped into her glory in Heaven with the rest of her family who preceded her in death. Of which is her daughter Rachel, Mother Saundra, Father Joseph and Brother John. She is survived by her husband, son, daughter-in-law, sisters, a plethora of nieces, nephews and her mother-in-law Dorothy whom she loved dearly.
Lisa’s favorite color was PURPLE. Wear whatever you wish to Lisa's memorial service, but if you have anything purple, subtle accents or full-blown outfits, it would tickle Lisa to gaze upon the crowd and see her favorite color paid tribute to.
Please consider in place of sending flowers, to donate instead to a charity organization; either the Saint Jude Children’s Hospital or the Humane Society who helped rescue 4,000 beagles from lab experiments in Virginia recently.
We would love it if you would like to share an image, story or a memory you have of Lisa.
Rest in peace dear Lisa, this is just goodnight, it's not goodbye.
