Linda Jean Nation, 84, of Cheyenne, passed peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on January 27, 2025.
She was born on December 20, 1940 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Parley Woodrow “Jack” and Dorothy Preece.
Linda was a lifelong homemaker and a wonderful cook. She was a brilliant crafter and enjoyed making gifts for her loved ones. Her family will always have wonderful memories of the fun and magic she brought to every holiday. She volunteered for the Foster Grandparents program and adored the experience. In later years, she worked as a camp host for many summers along with her husband at Hog Park Campground in the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest.
She is survived by siblings, Dianne (Robert), Julie, Peggy (Millard), Russel, Hal, Shelley (Rudy); children Jackie (Patrick), Lisa (Dale), Kristi (Harry), Chad, Gary (Sabra), Wendy (Richard), Aaron, Ryan (Christina); and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 54 earthly years, Kenneth Nation; brother-in-law, Vic (Julie) Mitchell; and great-grandson, Robert Dean Maher, Jr.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 5, 2025, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Lincolnway Chapel located at, 3312 E Lincolnway, Cheyenne, WY 82001.
