Levia V. Léger, 79, of Cheyenne, died Friday, July 10, 2015 at her home.
Levia was born a fiery little redhead full of energy and curiosity on July 17, 1935 in Cripple Creek, Colorado. She grew to be an independent woman of great faith and integrity, and strong of mind and character. She was an avid lifelong learner and hard worker, who loved the smell of roses, the stories of Raggedy Ann, and avocados. You will be greatly missed, dear mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and remembered as the feisty, fearless, and fiercely loving and loyal woman you always were.
Survivors include: daughter, Tamara Léger of Washington; son, Edmond Léger of Florida; four grandchildren—Jarek Léger, Sr. and Alanna Solomon of Washington; and Polina and Nicholas Léger of Florida; and three great grandchildren—Silisha and Quavion Buckley, and Jarek Léger, Jr. of Washington. She is also survived by sisters Jackie Ramer and Rita Brown of Nevada; Ellean Feathers of Colorado; and brother Jack Werner, Jr. of Washington, D.C.
She is preceded in death by her mother Lola (Newman) Larson; her dad, Olaf Larson; her father, Jack Werner; and her sister Barbara Denis.
