Leslie Charles Heller

Mr. Leslie C. Heller, 74, of Cheyenne passed away Wednesday May 14th, 2014 at the Cheyenne VA Hospital.

He was born June 21, 1939 in Van Tassell, Wyoming to Adolf and Clara (Fischer) Heller. He attended the Fort Laramie School. He married Nancy Oliver on June 25, 1961. He served in the Army in the 504th signal battalion in Germany. He moved to Cheyenne from Fort Laramie in 1974. He was a member of American Legion Post 6, VFW 4343, and Christ Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife Nancy; sons Harold (Lavita) and Darrell (Suzanne); granddaughters Amanda, Jessica, Cassandra, and Katelyn all of Cheyenne; special sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lenora and Bill Troupe; special great-niece Reagan Troupe; brothers Harry (Sharon) and Laverne (Judy); sister Della Wolfe; nephews Will and Levi; and several other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Lorenz; and sisters Claretta Benish, Elsie Keeran, Hazel Hoekstra, Dorothy Peterson, Alberta Everett, Blondenia Heller, and Frenda Heller.

Memorial services will occur Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church in Cheyenne with interment following at 4:00 p.m. at Fort Laramie Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Christ Lutheran Church.
