LeRoy Lucero, Sr., 81, of Cheyenne, died on January 24, 2019 at the Veterans Administration Hospital.
He was born on June 17, 1937 in Chacon, New Mexico.
Mr. Lucero was a welder, worked in construction, and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed spending time with family, teaching grandchildren life lesson, music, and dancing.
He is survived by his daughter, Tina Lucero; sons, Leroy Lucero, Jr. and Pablo Lucero; grandchildren, Michael White, Chris White, Amanda Pino, Airriella Lucero, Alexis Lucero, Senaca Lucero, Leroy Lucero III, Allyesha Hernandez, Tiara Lucero, and Zadriann Lucero; eight great grandchildren; brothers, Ted (Cleo), Otilio (Angie), Arnold (Lola), and Jim (Alberta) Lucero; sisters, Gloria (Larry) Kiser, Eva (Rod) Commander and Maggie (Pascual) Ramirez; and hundreds of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Lucero was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Carmen Lucero; his daughter, Rita Lucero; parents, Teodocio Lucero and Andrea McClintic; sister, Cathy Fletcher; and brother, Ray Lucero.
Vigil for the Deceased will be Friday, 6:00 p.m., at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
Funeral Liturgy will be Saturday, 10:00 a.m., at St. Mary’s Cathedral.
Burial will follow in Olivet Cemetery.
