Leonore “Eleanor” Medina, 89, of Egbert, died Sunday, June 11th.
She was born March 26, 1928 in Guadalupita, New Mexico, a daughter to Andres and Corina Pacheco. Eleanor married Blas Medina, Jr., on February 16, 1947 in Guadalupita.
She enjoyed the outdoors, crocheting, gardening and cooking. Always giving of herself.
Survivors include her husband, Blas of Egbert; a son, Michael Medina of Montrose, CO; daughters, Terry (John) Herkert of Las Cruces, NM; Paula (Dennis) Hemenover of Cheyenne; Patsy (Francis) Holmes of Cheyenne; six grandchildren, Keri Rodrigue, of Colorado Springs; Michelle Valdez of Seattle, WA; Shawn Hemenover of Cheyenne; Mandy Roth of Sheridan; Kyle Holmes of Fort Collins; and Kristopher Holmes of Pinedale; eleven great-grandchildren and one great great-granddaughter, two brothers, Pete Pacheco of Cheyenne; Joe G. Pacheco of LeDeaux, NM; and two sisters, Estella Gallegos of Santa Fe, NM; and Nora Archuleta of LeDeaux, NM.
She was preceded by her parents and a daughter, Cecily Medina.
Vigil for the deceased will be Friday, June 16th at 6:30 p.m. at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel. Funeral Liturgy will be Saturday, June 17th at 11:30 a.m., at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Pine Bluffs.
