Leonard Michael “Lenny” Soveroski, 60, of Cheyenne, Wyoming died on Sunday, October 7, 2018 in Cheyenne.
He was born on March 9, 1958 in the Bronx, New York.
In 1995 he received his master’s degree in Special Education from the University of Northern Colorado. Mr. Soveroski was a math and special education teacher at South High School in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
In addition to teaching, Lenny was an avid fly fisherman, volunteered in the community (particularly among veterans), and was also a devout Catholic, volunteering much of his time at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Cheyenne. Before moving west to Wyoming, Lenny lived near his family on the east coast, then worked as an EMT in Snowbird, Utah, where he also developed a love for skiing and rock climbing. Lenny also refereed basketball, hockey, and softball around Wyoming and northern Colorado.
Lenny is survived by Joanne Soveroski, his wife of 26 years; his two children, Alex Soveroski of Laramie and Jane Soveroski of Lakewood, Colorado; and his siblings, Martin, Joan, and Marie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alexander and Lillian Soveroski, and his brother, Robert Soveroski.
Vigil for the Deceased will be Tuesday, 6:00 p.m., at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
Funeral Liturgy will be Wednesday, 2:00 p.m., at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Burial will follow in Olivet Cemetery.
