Lawrence G. “Larry” Hewitt, 77, of Cheyenne, died Monday, March 28, 2016 at the VA Medical Center.
He was born April 18, 1938 in Salt Lake City, Utah, a son to George and Emma (Brown) Hewitt. Larry attended schools in both Utah and California before joining the U.S. Navy. He moved to Cheyenne in the early 1960’s.
Larry was a member of the Moose Lodge, and was past Governor, he was also a member of the American Legion Post 6. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Survivors include a son, Ronnie Hewitt; a daughter, Laura Green; his very good friends, Jean Brown; Rusty Collicott and Ken Turner, and his dog Karma, all of Cheyenne.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services with Military Rites will be Friday, April 1st at 11:00 a.m. at the Moose Lodge with a luncheon to follow.
Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
Memorial Contributions may be made in Larry’s name to the Cheyenne Animal Shelter.
