Lavon Parker, who was born in Loveland, Colorado, November 14, 1932, took her final breath December 12, 2021 in Cheyenne Wyoming. She was the daughter of Marie and John Lenhardt. Lavon was the oldest of four children. The only remaining sibling is Shirley Hubka, for Melvin, Howard and mother have moved on.
Lavon and her second husband Fred Parker were avid travelers. Traveling throughout Europe and traveled through the United States via motorhome. Owning two homes, they spent their summers in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and their winters in Harlingen, Texas. They shared a passion for square dancing. While in Texas, mother volunteered her time teaching Hispanic children, English. She loved quilting and sewing -sharing her creations with family and friends.
She is survived by three daughters, the eldest Janet Harrison, then Debbie Moore, and the youngest Janet Chapman; one grandson, Shane Moore; sister, Shirley Hubka and Shirley’s spouse, Joe Hubka; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Service and interment Will be performed by Dan Irish (mothers niece Kelly’s husband).
December 17th at 1 PM at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens at the chapel.
