Larry DePaul Smith, 78, of Cheyenne, died on Friday, April 7, 2017 at the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
He was born on May 14, 1938 in Cheyenne.
Larry served in the U.S. Navy, was a member of St. Mary’s Cathedral, was a firefighter with the Lakewood Fire Department, and retired as a pipefitter with Cheyenne Light, Fuel & Power after 32 years. He was Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus, and enjoyed Farmall and John Deere tractors, fishing, and camping.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Smith; three children, Kelli Adkison (Ben), Terry Smith (Roxanne), and Tracy Bagby (Rick); a brother, Mike Smith; ten grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Merna Smith; a granddaughter, Rikki Darling; and two great-grandchildren, Chassidie Kearney and Colt Miller.
Vigil for the Deceased will be Monday, 7:00 p.m., at St. Mary’s Cathedral.
Funeral Liturgy will be Tuesday, 10:30 a.m., at St. Mary’s Cathedral.
Interment will follow in Olivet Cemetery.
