Larry Lee Seaver Sr.

Larry Lee Seaver Sr., 83, passed away December 22, 2017 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s, at his home in Cheyenne, WY with family by his side.
He was born April 10, 1934 to Earl Edgar Seaver and Marie Zitek in Wakarusa, Williamsport township, KS.
He moved to Hereford, CO at the age of three, and spent his youth in the area surrounding Pine Bluffs, WY.
Larry married Mary Inez Cornwell October 28, 1956 at her parent’s home in Grover, CO.
Larry worked as a lineman for the Rural Electric Company in Pine Bluffs, WY 1950 to 1953.
He served his country for 26 years in the United States Air Force from 1953 to 1979. He was a gifted aircraft mechanic for the Air Force as well as an auto mechanic on the side for many friends and neighbors. He retired from the Air Force as a Minute Man Missile technician with the rank of Master Sargent.
He spent 13 years from 1979 to 1992 in maintenance at the Laramie County Community College.
Larry really loved his family. He enjoyed camping, hunting and 4-wheeling. He cherished the time that he spent making memories with his children and grandchildren.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Barbara Krantz; brother, Merle Seaver; son, Larry Lee Seaver Jr.; and grandson, Nathan Vassallo.
He is survived by his wife Mary; sister, Joan Gatling (Muriel); daughters, Cherie Cox (Wayne), Debbie Grubbs (Steve), Toni Seaver, Mary Kyle Strauch (Billy); daughter-in-law, Rie Seaver; grandchildren, Vicki Vassallo, Haley Keller (Tory), William McFaul, Margot McFaul, Evan Wortman (Jordan), Michaela Wortman, Corey Seaver, Nichole Seaver, Trevor Strauch (Kenzie), and Christopher Strauch; greatgrandchildren Natalia Cox-Vassallo, Braden Cox, Lucas Keller, Autumn McFaul, Liam and Sawyer Wortman. As well as several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at the Wiederspahn Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes in Cheyenne on December 29th at 10:00 a.m. Online tributes can be sent to the family at www.wrcfuneral.com .
