Larry L. Mathre, 73, of Cheyenne, Wyoming passed away on January 9, 2016.
Larry was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming on April 24, 1942. He was married to Brenda D. Mathre; they were married for 46 years.
He was an avid outdoorsman, and he continued to flip houses and work on cars on a daily basis. “I don’t think he would have ever been satisfied if he had to give it up, he was always active,” said his wife, Brenda.
Larry was a very caring person. He would help out anyone that needed help. He would even drive 1700 miles (one-way) to help his sister-in-law cut down trees even if he ended up crawling for a week to get over it.
Larry is survived by two children, Arlene Johnson and Patricia Martin; his grandchildren; his three brothers, Jerry, Rex and Jimmy; and his sister, Alice. He is preceded in death by his parents Fern and Lloyd Mathre, and his sisters Shirley and Grace.
The viewing will be held from noon to 2:00 p.m. on January 15th at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel, 1900 E. 19th Street, Cheyennne, WY. His “Celebration of Life” will be held afterward at the Eagles Lodge, 1600 Thomes Avenue.
In lieu of flowers, send donations to Zonta of Cheyenne or a charity of your choice.
