Larry Wesley Kissell, 66, of Cheyenne, died February 24, 2018.
He was born October11, 1951 in Fort Collins, Colorado, to John Wesley and Rayma (Christensen) Kissell. He grew up in Cheyenne, graduating from Central high school in 1970. He joined the U.S. Navy, where he was an aircraft mechanic for six years. Following his discharge he ran the family business, K & H Disposal for many years. Later he worked as a heavy equipment operator until his retirement.
Larry was a member of the NRA, NASCAR and a huge drag racing fan. He was an avid bowler and outdoorsman. He has been referred to as one of the most gruff, caring guys ever.
Survivors include his brother, Neil Kissell; nieces, Tara (Wes) Raymond; Chrisanne (Kevin) Sprague; Kara Piscitella; Char Horton; nephews, Jace Horton; Dylan Raymond; and Owen Raymond; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Janis Klosterman; and great-nephew, Noah Raymond.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel. A reception will follow at the Gathering Place.
