Kristin M. Corin, née Mikaelsen , age 93, passed away at Life Care Center of Cheyenne on April 29th. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel and online condolences can be made to the family at

Born in Kristiansund, Norway on January 20, 1922 to Birger and Ellinor Mikaelsen (née Engeberg),she also was the beloved sister of Tor Mikaelsen of Trondheim, Norway, the late Sigrid Berge, Birger Mikaelsen, and Elin Reinskou. Kristin lived for many years with her husband and two daughters in Potomac, Maryland. Educated as a librarian at the University Of Oslo, Norway, and the University of London, she worked as a librarian in Detroit, Michigan, and in Washington, D.C. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, and needlework, and was noted for her love of everything Norwegian. She made friends around the world, many of who remained her friends throughout her life.
Kristin is survived by loving daughters Nina Elizabeth Corin of Silver Spring, Maryland, and Anne Bronwen Corin Aquin of Cheyenne, Wyoming; sons-in-law Torstein Opsahl and Robert C. Aquin, Jr.; and grandchildren Sara Aquin, Leslie Aquin, Martin Opsahl, Erik Opsahl, and Anja Opsahl.
She is also survived by sisters-in-law, a brother-in-law, and nieces and nephews in Norway and England. Kristin is preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Thomas Corin, of Wallsend, England
