Kenneth L. Dillmon, 80, of Cheyenne, died on Monday, December 11, 2017 in Cheyenne.
Ken was born on February 9, 1937 in Gothenburg, Nebraska and lived in Cheyenne since 1974.
Ken served 20 years in the Air Force and did two tours in Vietnam before retiring as a Tech Sergeant in 1975. He then worked civil service in the motor pool at F.E. Warren.
He enjoyed working in the yard, woodworking, old cars, gambling, and trying his luck on the lotto. Ken was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a role model to everyone in his family; he is loved dearly and will be missed.
Ken is survived by the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Rae Dillmon, whom he married on October 9, 1955 in Cozad, Nebraska; his children, Kim Connell, Debbie Smith (Keith), Gregg Dillmon (Kari), and Angie Dillmon; two sisters, Jan Williams and Norma Folkers; grandchildren, Kenny, Brandon and April Baker, Stephanie and Candice Dillmon, Autum and Jake Smith; Tommy Connell, and Carrie Billott;; great-grandchildren, Kai, Eleanor, Raeley, Tyler, Kylee, Shayne, Ruby, Taylor, Jaron, Jaylin, Phoenix, Alex, Austin, and Bryce; and a great-great-grandchild, Aiden.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Hazel Dillmon; and a sister, Marilyn
A Celebration of His Life will be held at Mid-town Tavern (Anderson’s Bar) on Saturday Dec 16th, 2017 from 12-3pm.
