Kay I. DuBois-McKinney, 79, of Cheyenne, died on Monday, November 16, 2015 at the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
She was born on January 21, 1936 in Chadron, Nebraska and had lived here since 2007.
Kay was a respiratory therapist, telephone operator, and her favorite job was as a nurse’s aide in the Kimball Hospital nursery. She enjoyed crafts, gardening, and loved her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Stacie Dunn (Steve) of Cheyenne, and Michael Thompson (Elizabeth) of Denver, Colorado; four grandchildren, Jennifer Porter, Carissa Pollard, and Lindsey and Alycia Thompson; and six great-grandchildren, Maddox and Payton Pollard, and Kailey, Kozad, Kwynn, and Kael Porter.
Kay was preceded in death by a son, Mitch Thompson; and her parents, Paul and Erma DuBois.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
