Kathryn M. “Kate” Selby, 64, of Cheyenne passed away November 21st at Davis Hospice Center, following a difficult battle with cancer. She was born October 15, 1952 in Chadron, Nebraska. She earned a history degree from Carroll College, and an MPA from CU-Boulder. Kate worked for the State of Wyoming A&I for 37 years, where she was a beloved and respected colleague and mentor. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother, who enjoyed quilting, crafting, reading, and traveling. She was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. Kate is survived by her five children, Edward (Cali) Selby, of Tranquility, NJ, Emily Selby, Leah Selby, Anna Selby, and William Selby, and mother, Luce Schwarz, all of Cheyenne; four siblings, William Schwarz, Sue Schwarz, Cyndi DeSteffen, Stephen Hickman; and two grandchildren, Briella and Kieran. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Selby, and her father, Don Schwarz. Funeral Liturgy to be Saturday at 10:00 a.m., Holy Trinity Catholic Church, with reception to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Knights of Columbus. Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
