Karl Edgar Kohler, 79, of Cheyenne, passed away at his home on May 1, 2017.
He was born on November 11, 1937 in Louisville, Kentucky.
Karl entered the U.S. Air Force in 1954 and retired in 1978. After retirement Karl worked as a mechanic before returning to the U.S. Air Force as a civilian employee. Karl enjoyed playing Pinochle with his friends at the Senior Center and building radio controlled air planes. He was a member of the Cheyenne Hill Hoppers AMA club.
Karl was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob Kohler and Iona (Kittle) Kohler; brother, Ralph Kohler; nephew, Karl Kohler; and his long-time companion, Beverly (Beekman) Morton.
Karl is survived by his daughter, Melody Morse (William) of Cheyenne; grandson, Derrick Morse of Rawlins, Wyoming; sister-in-law, Connie Kohler; and nephews Ralph Kohler, Jr. and Troy LaBarge both of New York, and nephew, Kevin Kohler of North Carolina.
Funeral Liturgy will be Friday, 11:00 a.m., at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Private burial will take place at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made in Karl’s memory to the either the Cheyenne Animal Shelter or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
