Julia Perez, 79, passed away at her home in Cheyenne, surrounded by family on Saturday, November 3, 2018.
She was born July 4, 1939 in Las Vegas, New Mexico to Benito and Rita Romero. She was married to Jesse Perez for 51 years before he passed in 2006.
She was a member of World Mission Society Church of God. She was a loving wife, mother and grandma.
She is survived by her 5 children, Helen Martinez (Mike Johns), Patricia Perez (Robert Ortiz), Bettyann Perez-Tafoya (Phillip S. Tafoya), Geraldine Haight (Mark Haight), Jessica Perez, Frances Martinez (Aaron Jenkins), al of Cheyenne; two sisters, Maryann Hall of Brighton, CO; Antonia Chavez of Cheyenne; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Solomon, Alex, Tony, Antancio and her husband Jesse.
She was devoted to her family and loved taking care of them. She enjoyed Spanish dancing, yardwork and cooking for others. She was always there to help everyone and give her support and advice. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and Church members.
Cremation has taken place at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
In lieu of a service, there will be a Celebration of Life for family and close friends at her home, 603 E. 6th Street on Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm.
