Judy E. Stewart

Judy E. (Huisenga) Stewart went to be with her Lord on Friday, February 24, 2017, at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center after a hard fought battle with metastatic melanoma cancer.
Judy was born on December 20, 1951, at Allen Memorial Hospital, in Waterloo, Iowa. Judy was the daughter of Abe and Rozella (Hook) Huisenga. Judy attended Ackley- Geneva and Steamboat Rock public schools in Iowa.
Judy spent many hours as a child helping on the farm, and entertaining her little sister. During high school she enjoyed cheerleading, horses, and Band Majorette. After high school, her life took her on many career adventures; which included ABC Records in DesMoines, Iowa, Elder Equipment and Leasing in Casper, Wyoming, University of Wyoming Family Medicine in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Charles and Judy also owned and operated Legacy Bed and Breakfast and Legacy Antiques in Ackley, Iowa for 5 years. Judy ended her career serving as the Business Manager for Triple T Specialty Meats, Inc., Ackley, Iowa. Judy’s ability with people, accounting, work ethic, and learning were admirable.
Judy dearly loved the outdoors, especially spring and summer. Camping, flowers, four-wheeling, walking, antiques, coloring, crafts, and painting were a few of her hobbies. Her greatest joy was spending time with family.
Judy is survived by her husband Charles of Cheyenne ; son , Mike Rewerts of Cheyenne; daughter, Missy Propes of Loveland, Colorado, five grandchildren; Taylor (Sarah) Rewerts, Landon Rewerts, and Aspen Rewerts of Cheyenne; Cortney and Kayla Propes of Greeley, Colorado; three great grandchildren; Bruan Rewerts, Bentlee Koskelowski, and Anika Bennett; and a sister, Jolene (Greg) Heikens of Steamboat Rock, Iowa; 2 nieces, TaLana (Calen) Holman, Tori (TJ) Johnston, Tanner Heikens, and families; as well as numerous family members from Iowa and New Mexico.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Larry Huisenga.
Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
Celebration of life will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, March 3, 2017 at Element Church, located at 600 E. Carlson St., Cheyenne, WY 82009. Fellowship and snacks following the service.
