Judy Marie Jacobs Lindsay

July 16, 1957 — October 30, 2024

On October 30, 2024, Judy Lindsay went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She died of complications from heart valve replacement surgery. She was born in Denver, Colorado, to Sheldon and Valeria Jacobs. She married Michael Lindsay on May 31, 1978. Judy and Michael had three children who blessed them with eleven grandchildren. She received her B.S. in Education and M.S. in Counseling from the State University of New York – Plattsburgh.

Judy spent her life in service to others. She was an Air Force wife who followed her husband to Arizona, New York and North Dakota. She worked as a school counselor in Grades K-12. When they moved to Minnesota, she worked for a non-profit organization as a Family Advocate in a Middle School. She also was elected to her local school board, serving two terms. She volunteered for many organizations. Judy was passionately patriotic. She worked for many political campaigns and was proud to be a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She had a deep and abiding faith and was a leader in Bible Study Fellowship International and taught Children’s Church.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Sheldon and Valeria Jacobs. She is survived by her husband Michael; her sister Sandra Hoffman; her brother Joseph (Carol) Jacobs; her three children Bradley (Sarah) Lindsay, Christina (Daniel) Maus, and Adam Lindsay; and her eleven grandchildren Eric Marquardt, Makenna Maus, Heather Marquardt, Violet Maus, Dominic Maus, Isabel Lindsay, Daniel Lindsay, Claire Lindsay, Lindsay Maus, Vivian Lindsay, and Samuel Maus.

There will be a Celebration of Judy’s Life on November 16, 2024, at the Cheyenne, WY, Evangelical Free Church, located at 7006 N College Dr, Cheyenne, WY 82009. The Celebration will start at 10:30 am with lunch to follow. Private interment will be held with her family at a later date at the US Air Force Academy Cemetery. The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to Bible Study Fellowship International - https://www.bsfinternational.org/ .
