Juanita F. Novak, 75, of Cheyenne, died Monday, January 11th in Denver.
She was born May 23, 1940 to Willard G. and Elizabeth Pruett Twidwell. She married Antone “Tony” F. Novak August 22, 1969.
She worked for Capital Savings and Loan in Laramie as VP, Manager prior to going to work for the University of Wyoming as Supervisor of Financial Operations.
She was involved in many committees including Chairman of the Board of the Laramie Economic Development Corp., President of the Laramie area Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the United Way Budget committee and the Albany County School District Vocational Education Advisory Committee. She was appointed by Governor Hathaway to the Western Sun Advisory Committee. She was active in the Grace Chapel Church where she taught Sunday School and assisted at summer church camp.
She and her husband became members of the First Congregational Church after moving to Cheyenne. God, family and friends were very important to her. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Her greatest prayer was that all her family would know and accept Jesus as their Savior and live their life to his Glory. She never denied a request of her time to anyone that needed her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Ken and youngest Granddaughter Aly.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Tony. Her children: Brian, Kristi Novak; Teri, Mike Brito; Craig Novak & Rick Anderson. Her Grandchildren Neil Novak, Elise, Erica and Brittany Brito, Her brother Richard and wife Chris Twidwell and many precious Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and their families.
Viewing will be Monday Jan. 18, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
Services will be Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at First Congregational Church.
Donations may be made in Juanita’s name to the Church.
