Juanita Kelley

June 24, 1947 — February 5, 2025

Cheyenne

Juanita Kelley, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, was born on June 24, 1947, in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She realized the fulfillment of her faith on the morning of February 5, 2025. Juanita lived a life infused with grace and love, maintaining a deep Catholic faith that guided her through both triumphs and tribulations, nurturing her unwavering spirit until her final day.

Her most cherished role was that of a devoted mother and grandmother, a position she held with abundant joy, finding fulfillment in the laughter and milestones of her children and grandchildren. With utmost pride, she is survived by her loving sons, John (Angela) Kelley and Jeff Kelley, as well as her cherished grandchildren, Joshua, Sheena, Madalynne, Miah, Eli, and Emma. Each of them carries a fragment of her spirit, a testament to the legacy she leaves behind.

In her daily life, she cultivated a rich tapestry of connections, relishing the moments spent reciting the rosary, sharing stories, and engaging in heartwarming conversations with her beloved friend, Sister Ruth. Among her favorite songs was "Remember Me", which was from the movie “Coco.”

In addition to her immediate family, Juanita was born with constellation of siblings, some whom survive her, and others that preceded her in death, who formed the foundation of her life: Frank (Eva) Arias, Carmen (Al) Tenorio, Rita (Jake) Herrera, Theresa (Rich) Frausto, Angela (Archie) Martinez, Robert Arias, and Annette Johnson. Each sibling shared in the joys and sorrows of life, forging bonds that one could only describe as sacred.

Those waiting to reunite with her on the other side include her beloved husband, John Kelley, who preceded her in death, along with her parents, Frank and Nettie Arias. Together, they stand as a testament to the enduring power of love and commitment that transcends both time and space.

The legacy of Juanita Kelley is rooted in her profound faith, familial devotion, and the joy she found in simple pleasures. Her soul now rests in the serenity of eternity, while her memory continues to shine brightly in the hearts and minds of those fortunate enough to have known and loved her.
