Joyce (Russell) Zaremba, 77, of Cheyenne, passed away October 12. She was born on June 28, 1945, in Greeley, Colorado to Fred and Freda Russell. On August 1, 1962, she married Chuck Zaremba becoming an Air Force wife, later divorcing in 1982. They remained very close afterward. Joyce worked as a waitress at the Cheyenne Country Club before attending college and becoming a registered nurse at age 42. When she retired from being a nurse, she attended Cheyenne Beauty School and became a hairdresser at Hats Off Wig and Hair Salon. She loved to cook and cater; her favorites being wedding cakes and cinnamon rolls. Joyce also enjoyed collecting beanie babies, the Rockies and Broncos sports teams, ceramics, sewing and crochet. She was very compassionate and loving especially with animals and children. She visited many places including South Dakota, Louisiana, South Carolina, and Hawaii. She spent many vacations in Quincy, Illinois visiting her sister and brother-in-law, Debbie, and Sonny Settles, accompanied by Jennifer Zaremba and/or Adrianna Medina. She is survived by sister Debbie Settles, Niece Brooklie Ryerse, Stepdaughter Jennifer Zaremba, God Daughter Adrianna Medina, Nephew Barry (Jennifer), Great Nephew Danny, Great Niece Olivia Ryerse, Nephew Rodney (Dana) Settles, Great Nephew Denis Ryerse, Great niece Lauryn Ryrse and Brother Fred Russell. Joyce was preceded in death by her Parents Fred Russell and Freda Imler, Step Father Pete Imler, beloved Grandmother Amelia Russell, Grandparents Carl (Ruth) Wood, Ex Husband Chuck Zaremba, Sister Yvonne (Denis) Duvall, and brother-in-law Sonny Settles. Services will be held at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel, 1900 E. 19th St. Cheyenne, WY 82001 on October 28, 2022 at 2:00, followed by a reception at The Gathering Place, 1900 E 21st St, Cheyenne, WY 82001 at 3:00. The family asks that you wear any Broncos or Rockies memorabilia to the service and reception in memory of Joyce's favorite sports teams. All donations can be made to the Cheyenne Animal Shelter.
