Joyce Habib died at home in Cheyenne, Wyoming early on Friday November 6, 2020. She was able to leave peacefully on her terms in her room that she loved and designed, living in love with family.
Joyce was born in Detroit, Michigan to Harley and Elizabeth Ferguson, who preceded her in death and was the younger of two children. Her sister who survives her is Diane Ziska of Mesa, Arizona.
Joyce met and was married to Edward Habib in Detroit. They moved to Cheyenne in the mid 1960's for his service in the Air Force. They remained married until their divorce in 1982. From that union, there are two children. Joyce is survived by Edward, daughter; Karen (Eric) Miller of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and son Michael (Cynthia) Habib of Gilbert, Arizona. Joyce is survived by nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Joyce has always been proud of Michael and the dedication he has to his work and family. She was proud of Karen for her resiliency and her willingness to care for her in her final years. Joyce was proud of all her grandchildren and happy for her great grandchildren.
The family would like to acknowledge and deeply thank Davis Hospice, Synergy Home Health, AMR and the Cheyenne Fire Dept. crews on 11/5/20. We could not have done this without you that day.
For now, there will be no formal services due to COVID-19 and the fact that Joyce really just doesn't like the cold. Let's try to gather in the late spring to remember her and share happy memories. In lieu of sending flowers please leave your written memories here for the family to enjoy.
