Joybell “Joy” Oestringer, 80, of Cheyenne, passed away June 26, 2020 at Aspen Winds Assisted Living. She was born July 16, 1939 to Anthony and Adeline (Gardell) Germao in Albion, New York.
Joy served in the United States Navy for six years. During this time, she met and fell in love with her husband of 58 years Russell Oestringer, who also was serving in the Navy. They had two children Lori and Scott.
She had many hobbies in her lifetime, stained glass, macramé, ceramics, basket weaving. She enjoyed planting flowers to make her yard beautiful. Also was part of the Cheyenne Seed and Weed. And had a great love family as well as, animals.
If Joy’s hobbies did not keep her busy her selfless volunteer work did. She volunteered at The Old West Museum and The Governor’s Mansion for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Russell; daughter, Lori (Matt) Hubbs; Son Scott (Anna) Oestringer; grandchildren Jake Hubbs, Luke Hubbs and Jonathan Oestringer.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Gladys.
