Jory James Wendling passed away in his Denver, Colorado home on May 29, 2018.
The son of Ron Wendling and LeeAnn Hopson, he was born March 1, 1973 in Cody, Wyoming. He graduated from Cheyenne East High School in 1991. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from the University of Wyoming in 1998, a Doctor of Philosophy degree in organic chemistry from Colorado State University in 2003, and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Colorado in 2007.
An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, skiing, snowboarding, golf, and basketball. He will always be remembered for his deep love for his cats, Nikes, giving people the best nicknames, and all things Star Wars.
He is survived by his parents, Ron and Laurie Wendling of Greybull, Wyoming and Rocky and LeeAnn Hopson of Fort Collins, Colorado; his siblings Tomi Folkestad of Fort Collins, Colorado, JR Rea of Murrieta, California, Shana Garcia of Plano, Texas, and Lori Hendrickson of Princeton, Minnesota; his partner Gib Natrada of Denver, Colorado; and by many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Friday, June 8 at 2:00 PM at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel, 1900 East 19th Street, Cheyenne, Wyoming.
A reception will immediately follow the services at The Gathering Place.
