February 7, 1979 — August 19, 2022

Johnathan Allen Nichelson, 43, of Cheyenne, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family, on August 19, 2022. He was born on February 7, 1979, in Seward, Nebraska, to Julieann Waite and Michael Nichelson.
John was a humble old soul that loved being a husband and protecting his loved ones. He enjoyed collecting antiques, learning the history of many subjects, he was a weapons enthusiast. He also collected pocket watches, looking all over the internet for the perfect one. John loved working with his hands, making knife sheaths and other leather and wood projects, as well as sharping knives and swords. He had a great imagination and a master planner. John always needed to know how things worked no matter what they were. And maybe while on the journey of learning how things worked, he would be able to improve it. John was a champion power lifter in Colorado and Wyoming. He also had a major interest in cars and their audio systems. Another passion John had was the Norse mythology and other mythologies as well, but Norse seemed to fit him well. But the one true love he had in his life were his loved ones and friends, his world revolved around them.
