John D. Zumbrun Sr.

June 3, 1930 — October 28, 2018

John D. Zumbrun, 88, of Pine Bluffs, died on October 28, 2018.
He was born on June 3, 1930 in Cheyenne to Allen and Alta Zumbrun. John served in the U.S. Army. He worked at Cheyenne Light Fuel & Power in the gas department and later moved to Pine Bluffs to become a foreman for a gas line. He moved back to Cheyenne before returning to Pine Bluffs as a gas man for Pine Bluffs, Burns, and Carpenter before retiring in 1986. He worked for Laramie County, CLFP, and the Farming and Potato Chip factory. John and Linda also owned the Downtown Cafe.
He was a volunteer for the fire department and belonged to the Pine Bluffs Lions Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, playing pool, bowling, and cribbage tournaments.
John is survived by his wife Linda; daughters, Debbie Dunlay (John) and Alta Hepner; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Allen, Woodrow, Earl, and Ralph Zumbrun.; sister, Millie Salt Marsh; and a son, John D. Zumbrun, Jr.
Services will be Friday, 2:00 p.m., at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
Burial will follow in Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
